From a Sunday Drive to a Goat Milk Dream

We started Garland Hills Farm with one goal in mind: to teach our boys the value of hard work. We didn’t set out to be goat farmers — in fact, we didn’t plan it at all.

One afternoon, my husband and our boys went out “for a drive”… and came back with five goats in the back of the truck. I wasn’t exactly thrilled. We already had chickens, all of our boys were headed in different directions, and both my husband and I were working full-time jobs. The last thing I thought we needed was goats.

But life has a funny way of shifting your path.

After one of those goats had her first baby, we suddenly had fresh goat milk — and no idea what to do with it. So we started researching. What we found was something special: goat milk is naturally gentle, deeply nourishing, and packed with skin-loving benefits. That’s when our little farm took a big turn.

Today, tucked along the Alabama-Mississippi line in the heart of the Deep South, we handcraft natural, plant-based skincare products using our own fresh goat milk. Every soap, lotion, and bath soak is made with intention — and a whole lot of love.

The animals here aren’t just livestock — they’re part of our family. They’ve taught us patience, joy, responsibility, and what it really means to take care of something from the ground up.

At Garland Hills Farm, we believe in simple ingredients, honest work, and doing things the old-fashioned way: by hand, with heart. We’re proud of what we make — and even prouder of the life we’re building, one small batch at a time.
